Westminster Reference Library is a public library in the heart of London’s West End. Situated on the site of Sir Isaac Newton’s house, the library’s architecture reflects the original building’s charming style and continues its rich history. We have served the public for over 90 years and hold a collection that draws on our culturally significant location.

The library offers a truly unique place to learn with publicly accessible collections.

The Performing Arts collection is supplemented by Anna Pavlova memorial library and Simon Callow donation. Offering a fascinating range of books on theatre, ballet, cabaret, circus, musicals, and history of the West End.

Additionally, a wide range of theatre and dance magazines including Mask, The Stage and Era, alongside a cumulative index to Theatre Record are accessible.

Many classic play sets and a third of the Performing Arts collection are available to borrow.
